"Minty" is a poignant mixed media masterpiece that pays homage to the enduring legacy of Harriet Tubman. The artist thoughtfully selected an aged photograph of Harriet, capturing her seated outdoors in a chair enveloped by blankets. In a creative reinterpretation, the canvas comes alive with a blend of elements, including fragments of the American flag. This symbolic integration evokes layers of meaning, drawing connections to the history of the United States, from its flag to the complexities of economic and agricultural aspects. "Minty" stands as a powerful artistic tribute, seamlessly intertwining visual elements to honor Harriet Tubman's profound impact on history and society.
